A local connection, with a little more confidence.
Availability depends on the approved businesses serving each city.
Find the right kind of help.
Choose a service and city. Compare businesses with approved coverage for that location. Browse the city directory.
See what was checked.
Public listings need an identity check, a reviewed contact destination, two contacted references, a service-scope review, and applicable insurance and license evidence. Each service-area review applies to the stated category, city, state, and ZIP restrictions. Look at the actual scope, check dates, and expiry dates.
Choose who receives your request.
When requests are open, select up to three providers for the same service and a city they all serve. Your details stay private until you authorize sharing with those named businesses. Invited providers can accept or decline; a request is not a booking.
What screening means
Identity checks establish who submitted the application. Contact checks review the destination used for business invitations. Reference checks record two independent references contacted by the operator. Insurance and license reviews record documents or registry entries for the stated scope and jurisdiction.
Screening is not a background check, warranty, guarantee of quality, or promise that a business can perform every task. Expired or suspended service areas are removed from matching. Get your own written scope, price, and agreement before hiring.
What you pay
Finding help and applying are free. Contractors can choose optional paid listing positions after screening, with a separate quarterly subscription agreement. Paid position means advertising placement, not a quality ranking. We do not collect job payments or sell leads. Arrange work and payment directly with your provider. See contractor listing prices.
